The Soldiers Table Introduced
Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of characters who will split off from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
First, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the narrative’s action—used the foes for his own means, entering the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then settled his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a nasty place.
- The strong character and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could help the team access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, Teor vowed a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and Wicander defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The target is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in search of the traitor.
